Anglican Relief & Develpmont Fund Australia (ARDFA)

What is ARDFA?
Who are they?
Anglican Relief and Development Fund of Australia (ARDFA) is a Christian charity for the Anglican church and its friends. We strengthen vulnerable communities in the name of Jesus through partnership with local churches and gospel-minded partners.
ARDF Australia is part of a global Anglican aid and development organisation serving Anglicans worldwide. Our other national offices can be found in the USA, Canada, Kenya, and Egypt. ARDF globally has partnered with Anglican Churches worldwide in 43 countries.
Their Unique Development Model
ARDFA is perfectly situated for maximum impact with our donor's money. Through relationships with local churches on the ground, we empower local leaders to carry out the work of the development project. This results in efficient and effective use of resources to truly carry out the change that we all want to see in the world.
ARDFA Leadership
ARDF is governed by a board of global leaders representing the developing world. They meet annually to determine priorities, approve projects, and they keep ARDF firmly linked to the Global Church. ARDF Australia is guided by a Panel of Advisors, with strategic oversight from a Board of Governance comprising of trusted church leaders and representatives.
Their Mission
To strengthen vulnerable communities in the name of Jesus through partnership with local churches.

Prayer
Please Pray For:
• Tanzania Dairy Cows. In rural Tanzania, many pastors serve faithfully while earning less than AUS$30 per month- not enough to provide food, healthcare, or education for their families. In response, we are partnering with Mara Diocese to give milking cows to 60 pastors' families, helping generate income & achieve food security. Thank God for the growth of the Mara Diocese and its impact on the community. Please pray for the Diocese as it begins the project - to be able to source healthy cows at the right price, to provide training and support to the beneficiaries, as well as to the wider community.
• Gospel Promotion Fund. We have recently supported mission trips across PNG to reach those moving to the cities, and to equip Bible college students. We are also supporting training in Biblical pastoral counselling through a trusted Christian organisation at an upcoming conference in Vanuatu. Please pray that God would raise up many chaplaincy volunteers for this Christian organisation. Pray for ARDFA’s Pacific Consultant, June Bock as she participates in the training. Give thanks for the recent PNG mission trips. Pray for those reached by the mission to submit to God’s word, and that the Bible students and churches who took part would continue to be emboldened and equipped in the faith.
• Israel- Gaza. Please pray for internally-displaced people in Gaza who are lacking basic necessities. Pray for our gospel-minded partners that they would be able to effectively care for those in need, spiritually and materially. Give thanks for Gazan refugees who have received visas to live in Australia. Please pray for their long-term resettlement and livelihood.
• Gospel Promotion Fund (GPF). This fund’s activities related to the promotion of the Gospel through Bible teaching, theological education and evangelistic programs. Current Gospel promotion projects include; - Pastoral & Trauma counselling by Mission to Seafarers, Vanuatu; - Remote Village Evangelism by the Anglican church in Nepal - CLTC College Mission to Port Moresby in PNG - The School of Biblical Theology Conference run by Karen Anglican Ministry at the border and Hpa-An Diocese of Myanmar.
• Development Projects. These projects demonstrate the love of Christ, in word and deed bringing about positive transformation in the world’s most vulnerable communities. Areas such as;
- Pacific. Water tanks for Vanuatu. Water is scarce among the islands and the provision of water tanks will help alleviate this problem. Pray for the safe and sturdy installation of the tanks that they will be cyclone proof and well maintained by those that use them.
- Asia. Midwifery Students. Pakistan. As part of the Diocese of Peshawar, Tank Hospital is a 77-bed hospital focussing on mother and child healthcare that has been running since 1868 serving the poorest from the surrounding area. The Safoora School of Midwifery is registered and operational, some of the 50 students will be provided with a subsidised two year education, to promote female education and contribute to the development of families who are very poor and marginalised. Pray for these students.
- Africa. Many students at Nyamusi Primary School travel a significant distance to school – over three kilometres – and are required to attend school from 7am to 4:30pm. Since most students can’t go home for lunch, many don’t eat for the whole day and go home hungry in the evening. The school’s low attendance and low academic performance can be linked to this lack of good nutrition, and many students have dropped out because they have nothing to eat during the school day. • Israel – Gaza Crisis. As at June 2025 ARDFA is partnering with ARDF US to support the Palestinian Bible Society and CMJ-Israel bringing aid and relief to those affected by the conflict in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel. We are also working with a local Christian organisation to support refugees from Gaza in Australia. As we grieve the atrocities of war and conflict in the Middle East, and the suffering this causes for both Palestinian and Israeli people, let's lift these things to God in prayer, the Heavenly Father of all nations.

• Ukraine. ARDFA is working with European Christian Mission International (ECMI) and New Life Evangelical Free Church in Kyiv to provide ongoing and longer-term assistance to Ukrainians living in this crisis. Our partners continue to provide food and other necessities to Ukrainians throughout the country. They are also running a refugee accommodation centre and providing trauma care, as well as helping people transition to new areas to work and live. Currently, ARDFA is fundraising to help the work of our church partner, New Life Evangelical Free Church in supporting war families - families who have been separated due to armed service commitment, and to help furnish new homes that have been built in place of those destroyed in the war.
• Pray for the families and children who are traumatised by the ongoing uncertainty and conflict. Already many civilians and soldiers have been killed in the war.
Please pray for the families who lost their loved ones
Pray for the soldiers who stand tall to protect us, and for those who volunteer to defend their cities and towns
